Altaira: Visual Languages Meet Reactive Robot Control
The New Mexico State University Submission to VPC'97
Welcome! Our approach to the Visual Programming Challenge was to develop a
rule-based language specifically for the control of small mobile robots.
While the language is admittedly special-purpose, within its intended domain
it is capable of a broad range of applications.

*** The Teams ***
Altaira was implemented by a team of seven undergraduate and graduate
students in the NMSU Department of Computer Science under the direction of
Joe Pfeiffer. Four children (children of team members), ages seven to twelve,
helped with user testing. LegoMan served as our test driver.
