Positions

  • May 2026 – Present

    Graduate Research Assistant Current

New Mexico State University · Las Cruces, New Mexico

Supervisors: Dr. Huiping Cao (since Fall 2026), Dr. Satyajayant Misra

Studying AI agent security, with work on open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers (MCP-in-SOS, AgentNet 2026) and ongoing research on agent memory.

  • Jan 2026 – May 2026

    Research Scientist Intern

Fincore Inc. · Seattle, Washington · Remote

    Supervisor: Hitesh Gupta

    • Designed and built multi-agent systems to automate financial close, cash forecasting, and revenue recognition. All were deployed to production.
    • Built the agent harness and context layer for Model Context Protocol (MCP) tool orchestration, persistent memory, and transaction-level citation tracking. Scoped each agent's context and data access, and linked figures in agent outputs to their source transactions.
    • Laid the groundwork for a one-year Fincore-sponsored research project on agentic AI for finance at New Mexico State University (May 2026 – May 2027).
  • Jul 2025 – Dec 2025

    Applied Scientist Intern

Fincore Inc. · Seattle, Washington · Remote

    Supervisor: Hitesh Gupta

    • Developed production AI agents for real-time financial analysis using data from enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM), and HR information systems (HRIS).
    • Built natural-language querying across these systems using LangChain and MCP.
  • Jan 2023 – Dec 2025

    Graduate Research Assistant

New Mexico State University · Las Cruces, New Mexico

    Supervisor: Dr. Satyajayant Misra

    • Researched federated learning for network intrusion detection, with a focus on realistic traffic datasets and the effects of local class imbalance.
    • Built FLNET2023, a federated intrusion detection dataset collected at ten routers of an emulated network (first author, IEEE MILCOM 2023).
    • Evaluated large language models as network intrusion detectors using prompting alone (NetPrompt, first author, IEEE MILCOM 2025).
    • Developed NetDiffuser, which uses diffusion models to generate adversarial flow features for testing deep-learning intrusion detectors (first author, arXiv preprint).
  • Aug 2022 – Dec 2022

    Graduate Teaching Assistant

New Mexico State University · Las Cruces, New Mexico

    Supervisor: Dr. Huiping Cao

Supported the Database Management Systems course by answering student questions and helping prepare and grade assignments.

  • Jan 2021 – Jul 2021

    Software Engineer Intern

SplashLearn · Gurugram, India · Remote

    Supervisor: Deepak Tiwari

    • Built the internal content management system as a full-stack developer.
    • Implemented search engine optimization (SEO) and helped redesign and build key landing pages.
  • Jan 2020 – Dec 2020

    Student Researcher

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad · Allahabad, India · Remote

    Supervisor: Dr. Sonali Agarwal

Researched real-time computer vision for monitoring social distancing in public spaces, focusing on accurate person detection and distance estimation.
