At one time, NMSU CS taught its CS 273 (sophomore level computer architecture and assembly language programming) using the Freescale (nee Motorola) HC11 processor. This processor has become sufficiently obsolete that it's been necessary to migrate the course to Arduino, but I'm keeping this information and software available for anyone who is interested.
