Although, morphology and phonology are of minor interest to lexical semantics in themselves, they can provide useful clues for tasks in this area. Morphology often is helpful for word-sense disambiguation [24,86]; and, phonology has been suggested as a source of clues for whether certain verbs participate in the dative alternation [14] and for whether words are Latinate [26]. In addition, since machine readable dictionaries generally provide good coverage of morphology (although mainly inflectional) and phonology, this information will often be included in computerized lexicons.
