Accountability Bible Studies:
This type of bible study focuses a lot on the spiritual lives of the
participants. Often the group will spend a large amount of time in
confession and prayer. It is important in this type of group to try and
have bible studies that apply to the spiritual problems that the
participants might be experiencing.
This style of bible study is geared toward the person who is trying to get
his life right with God. It is an excellent way to find someone to help
keep them on the straight and narrow.
Good Points
- Help you spiritually (more so than other styles)
- Encouragement and support
- People can relate to and connect with other people with similar
circumstances
- Indiviuals can talk about whatever they need to talk about
Bad Points
- Can be long
- Could lead to gossip
- Not as scripture-oriented
- Feelings could get hurt (from tactlessness or someone being
judgemental)
