Applications Open Soon

Summer camps are tailored to achieve four major goals:

1) Build community among students through computing;
2) Increase student’s interest in computing;
3) Gain knowledge and exposure to introductory programming; &
4) Drastically increase all students’ confidence in Computer Science.

Each goal is achieved through specific sets of activities implemented in the summer camp. Participants are exposed to computational thinking through a variety of interactive software tools. These tools, along with team building, career exploration, and leadership activities, show students that computer science can be a fun, creative, engaging, and rewarding field!

CS Adventures is a day camp that will be held on the NMSU Campus. The camp will host 30 HS students, and include lunch, materials and supplies, plus swag (bags, notepads, pens, etc.). Instructors are NMSU graduate students, undergraduate students, and staff. Applicants must be rising into 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade, submit a complete online application, be in good academic standing, and able to be present every day.

To apply for the program, please fill out the application (coming soon!).

Applications will be reviewed beginning April 15th, 2016. Acceptance into the program will be based on answers to the questions below, and the availability of the student to participate in the full two weeks of the program.
