NMSU Computer Science Department

The New Mexico State University Department of Computer Science offers both undergraduate (B.Sc. and B.A. degrees) as well as graduate (M.Sc., Ph.D) degrees in computer science. The department is home to strong research programs in several core areas of computer science, including artificial intelligence, software engineering, and computer networks. The department is dedicated to promoting training and education in the field of computing as well as the inter-disciplinary role of computing in other sciences. In fact, in 2009, the department introduced the Masters of Science in Bioinformatics as part of this dedication.

The Department is a member of the Computing Research Association (the top-level organization responsible for the coordination of computer science research in North America) and a founding member of the NSF-supported Computer Alliance of Hispanic-Serving Institutions (CAHSI).
