Compare and contrast the Sun Sparc 3/4 processor and the IBM POWER4/5 processor.
Provide relevant references (web addresses) which outline the architecture
methodology for each processor.  Pay close attention to the manner in which
they execute instructions, type of cache, and how the cache is managed.  Also
include relevant workload  measurements of each processor.  Based on 
this information make a statement on which SPARC processor is "equivalent"
to which POWER processor.




This report is due on the day of the final, May 12, wednesday at 9:00 am .  It should be printed out
and should include your name on it.




You may work with others to gather information and to discuss the various
merits of each processor.  You must write your own final report.  Please
include a section on who you worked with and their involvement with your
final document.
