Gretsch Bass Guitar 1963

I am the owner of a very rare instrument. The Gretsch bass guitar is a true monster among basses. The length amd width of its neck make it feel like a cello, rather than an electric bass. In fact it even has a cello peg - a brass rod that descends from inside the body - that allows it to be played upright, while sitting down. Not that I've ever used it like that, but it is interesting. I actually bought the guitar in London, in 1974, but the serial number indicates that it was made in 1963. I paid 75 pounds ( about $150 then) for it. The only part that has been replaced is the main volume pot. Everything else is original. There is a small hole underneath the strings between the bridge and the pickup that I think had a special damper in it, operated by a lever at bottom right, but it is missing. I have played it in various lives, at various times, in a variety of different bands, but I have always looked after it. It is in fine condition.
