Choosing Token

Initiated By: Player at start of game
Terminates:  After all player ids are associated with their token
Sequence:
1.  Each player selects a token
2.  Token is associated with player id and color
Alternative:
1.  More than one person selects the same token, prompt them to choose a
different token


Begin Turn

Initiated By:  System at start of game or after another player's turn finishes
Terminates:  After player rolls dice
Sequence:
1.  Timer equals 30 seconds
2.  Player offers to trade properties with another player, timer resets
3.  Player buys houses or hotels, timer resets


Rolling of Dice

Initiated By:  System when it is time to begin game
Terminates:  After token is placed on space corresponding to roll
Sequence:
1.  Player rolls dice
2.  Token is moved to corresponding space
Alternative:
1.  Player rolls doubles, token is moved and player rolls dice again
2.  Player rolls doubles three times, player is moved to "In Jail" space


Buying Property

Initiated By:  Player lands on unowned property
Terminates:  After player receives deed to property or declines to buy property
Sequence:
1.  Player lands on property x
2.  Property x owner is found to be NULL
3.  Player is asked whether they wish to buy property
4a. Player declines
i  Bank auctions property
4b. Player wishes to buy property
i  Player pays for property
ii Deed is issued to player



Property Rent

Initiated By:  Player lands on property that is owned by another player
Terminates: After payment is made to owner
Sequence:
1.  Player lands on property
2a. Owner does not own all properties of that color, standard rent is paid
2b. Owner owns all properties of that color, double rent is paid
2c. Property has one or more houses or hotel, appropriate rent is paid
Alternative:
1.  Property is mortgaged, no rent is paid


Railroad Rent

Initiated By:  Player lands on railroad that is owned by another player
Terminates:  After payment is made to owner
Sequence:
1.  Player lands on owned railroad
2a. Owner owns only one railroad, standard rent is paid
2b. Owner owns two railroads, double rent is paid
2c. Owner owns three railroads, triple rent is paid
2d. Owner owns four railroads, quadruple rent is paid
Alternative:
1.  Railroad is mortgaged, no rent is paid


Utility Rent

Initiated By:  Player lands on utility that is owned by another player
Terminates:  After payment is made to owner
Sequence:
1.  Player lands on utility that is owned by another player
2a. Owner owns only one utility, player pays 4 times amount of dice roll
2b. Owner owns both utilities, player pays 10 times amount of dice roll
Alternative:
1.  Utility space is mortgaged, no payment is made


Buy Houses or Hotel

Initiated By:  Player on their turn
Terminates:  After payment is made for purchase of houses or hotel
Sequence:
1.  Player is on their turn
2a. Player chooses to buy houses or hotel
3.  Player chooses appropriate space to place houses or hotel
4.  Houses or hotel is placed on appropriate space
5.  Player makes payment for purchase of houses or hotel


Mortgage

Initiated By:  Player when they do not have enough money to make payment
Terminates:  After player's status reflects mortgage of property
Sequence:
1.  Player does not have enough money to make payment
2.  Property player selects to mortgage has not houses or hotel, bank pays
player mortgage value of property
3.  Player's status reflects mortgage of property
Alternative:
1a.  Player's property has houses or hotels
1b.  Houses or hotel must be sold to bank
1c.  Player mortgages property to bank
1d.  Players status reflects mortgage of property


Lifting of Mortgage

Initiated By:  Player wants to lift mortgage off property
Terminates:  After player's account reflects the removal of mortgage
Sequence:
1.  Player pays amount of mortgage plus 10 percent interest
2.  If mortgage is paid for all properties of that color, player is allowed to
purchase houses or hotel for that property
3.  Player's account reflects the removal of the mortgage


Bankruptcy to Player

Initiated By:  Bank when player does not have enough money for payment
Terminates:  After player is removed from game
Sequence:
1.  Player has no mans of paying payment due to another player and cannot
mortgage
2.  All of player's assets are transferred to player to which payment was due
3.  Player is removed from game


Bankruptcy to Bank

Initiated By:  Bank when player does not have enough money for payment
Terminates:  After player is removed from game
Sequence:
1.  Player has no mans of paying payment due to bank
2.  All of player's assets are transferred to bank
3.  Bank auctions player's properties
4.  Player is removed from game


Community Chest or Chance

Initiated By:  Token lands on community chest or chance space
Terminates:  After player has followed card instructions
Sequence:
1.  System draws top card of corresponding space
2.  Instructions on card executed by system


Trading

Initiated By:  Player on their turn
Terminates:  After trade is either successful or unsuccessful
Sequence:
1a.  Player chooses another player and offers price to buy or sell property
1b. Offer is accepted or declined by the other player
1c. Offer is accepted and funds and properties are transferred
2a. Player chooses another player and offers price to buy or sell "Get Out of
Jail Free" card
2b. Offer is accepted or declined by the other player

Luxury Tax

Initiated By:  Bank when player lands on luxury tax space
Terminates:  After player pays tax
Sequence:
1.  Player pays $75
Alternative:
1.  Player does not have enough money
a.  Player chooses to mortgage
b.  Player cannot mortgage, player is bankrupt to bank



In Jail

Initiated By:  Player when they are sent to jail
Terminates:  After player gets out of jail
Sequence:
1.  Player rolls dice
2.  Roll is doubles, use case terminates
Alternative:
1.  Player rolls dice on 3 consecutive turns, player pays $50 and gets out of jail
2.  Player uses "Get Out of Jail Free" card and gets out of jail
3.  Player chooses to pay $50 fine and gets out of jail
