Students will work on lab assignments and the semester project in teams of two (if we have an odd number of students in a lab section, it may be necessary to have a team with three students). Students are expected to work together on both the lab assignments and the project; in the event that there is a major discrepancy in the amount of work performed by the team members, points may be reallocated between them. It is expected that both team members will work on all aspects of the labs and project; dividng a team into a "hardware person" and a "software person" fails to give either student all the information from the class.
At the beginning of the semester, our lab time will be taken up with getting familiar with the course software tools and building your single-board computers. Once we've accomplished this phase, you won't be required to attend lab anymore, but the TA and I will be available during that time to assist you.
