Programming With Alice
Students who participate in the Young Women in Computing Program will have the opportunity to learn to program with Alice. Alice is a free software program that uses 3D models similar to that of Pixar/Disney. This unique course helps students learn the basics of computer programming in a fun and creative way.

Alice aids students in building a foundation in programming languages and prepares them for mastering object-oriented programming such as: Java, C++, and C#. During this course students will combine their skills to create three-dimensional animations. Their characters will move to the music of their choice. They will even generate comic book style dialogues by combining traditional problem-solving with Hollywood-style story boarding.
