In cooperation with the University Honors Program and the NMSU Graduate 
School, NM-AGEP at NMSU will host a FELLOWSHIP WRITING WORKSHOP for seniors 
and pre-doctoral graduate students (first and second year) in science, 
mathematics, engineering, and social and behavioral sciences.

The workshop will focus on fellowships available to US citizens and 
permanent residents.

Sessions will include:
    * Overview of fellowship opportunities, including those specific to NMSU
    * Panel discussion by faculty who have served as fellowship reviewers
    * Dr. Jeffrey Johnson on NSF Graduate Research Fellowships
    * Dr. Kenneth Brown on Qualities of a Successful Fellowship Application 
(an interactive session)
    * Individual consultation with presenters
WHEN:   September 30, 2003  8:30 AM-4:00 PM (lunch will be provided)
WHERE:  Conroy Honors Center Commons (off the horseshoe, on the corner of 
Espina and            University)
