The images below were taken in Joshua Tree National Park on 2006.01.15 at Barker Lake and in the southern part of the Wonderland Wash during my JTNP trip
from 2006.01.13 to 2006.01.24. By viewing the larger image sizes, you can note that no slack line connecting South Astro Dome and North Astro Dome is yet present.

2006.01.16
The images below of the Astro Domes were taken in Joshua Tree National Park on 2006.01.16 from the southern part of the Wonderland Wash during my JTNP trip
from 2006.01.13 to 2006.01.24. By viewing the larger image sizes, you can note that a long slack line connecting South Astro Dome and North Astro Dome is now present.

2006.01.17
An ascent of South Astro Dome was made early in the morning of 2006.01.17 during my JTNP trip from 2006.01.13 to 2006.01.24 in order to capture images of
the long slack line connecting South Astro Dome and North Astro Dome before the slack line was removed by either the owners or the Park Service.

The few images below were taken on a long trek north and east in the Wonderland Wash on 2006.01.20 during my JTNP trip from 2006.01.13 to 2006.01.24.
The trek was made to determine a feasible approach for ascending the central western edge of Queen Mountain to photograph the Wonderland of Rocks.

These images of the northwest corner of North Astro Dome were taken in Joshua Tree National Park on 2006.01.22 during my JTNP trip from 2006.01.13 to 2006.01.24
in order to show a rock scrambling route for ascending North Astro Dome which was used by my brother Dave around 1940.
