ARCEdit
Synopsis
ARCEdit (Actor-Relation-Concept Editor) is a special-purpose add-in
for Microsoft's Powerpoint
presentation program that facilitates the authoring of conceptual
graph databases in graphical form. It allows the placing and linking
of actor, relation, and concept nodes anywhere on a PowerPoint slide.
It also allows nested context graphs, linking context in a graph on
one slide to another slide. All graphs can be read and saved as
either a Powerpoint presentation or in Conceptual Structures CGIF
format.
Platform Powerpoint2000. Tested under Windows 98/NT/2000.
Compliance with CGTools CGIF final graphs
Syntactic Level 2. ARCEdit's CGIF parser can handle the
most of the syntax as specified in Sections 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3 of the June
2001 version of the CG
Standard.
Semantic
Level 2. ARCEdit's current CGIF parser does little more than
syntactic processing. Semantically, it creates a
separate slide for each graph and allows coreference jumping
between them. It does not do any semantic processing on
knowledge bases with hierarchies as specified
in Section 7.3 of the June 2001 version of the CG
Standard.
