To Download a Word 2007 document:
· Locate the lab number and file name that you want.
· Right-click on the link for the file.
· Choose “Save Target As”.
· Select the drive and folder where you want to save the file. The dialog box will show that it is going to save a .zip file. Click Save.
· Open Microsoft Word 2007. Click the Office button, then click Open. Find the .zip file that you just saved. (If you don't see the .zip file name in your folder, then at the bottom, next to "Files of Type:", change it to "All Files".) Click on the file name, then click the Open button.
· Now save the file as a Word 2007 document. To do this, click the Office button, then click Save As. At the bottom, change "Save as Type" to "Word Document (.docx)". Click the Save button.
To Download a Picture (.jpg or .wmf file):
· Locate the lab number and file name that you want.
· Right-click on the link for the file.
· Choose “Save Target As”.
· Select the drive and folder where you want to save the file. Click Save.
To Download an Excel 2007 workbook:
· Locate the lab number and file name that you want.
· Right-click on the link for the file.
· Choose “Save Target As”.
· Select the drive and folder where you want to save the file. The dialog box will show that it is going to save a .zip file. Click Save.
· Open Excel 2007. Click the Office button, then click Open. Find the .zip file that you just saved. (If you don't see the .zip file name in your folder, then at the bottom, next to "Files of Type:", change it to "All Files".) Click on the file name, then click the Open button.
· You will probably get a warning about the file being in a different format. Click Yes.
· Now save the file as an Excel 2007 workbook. To do this, click the Office button, then click Save As. At the bottom, remove the quotes and .zip from the file name, then make sure "Save as Type" says "Excel Workbook (.xlsx)". Click the Save button.
To Download a PowerPoint 2007 presentation:
· Locate the lab number and file name that you want.
· Right-click on the link for the file.
· Choose “Save Target As”.
· Select the drive and folder where you want to save the file. The dialog box will show that it is going to save a .zip file. Click Save.
· Open PowerPoint 2007. Click the Office button, then click Open. Find the .zip file that you just saved. (If you don't see the .zip file name in your folder, then at the bottom, next to "Files of Type:", change it to "All Files".) Click on the file name, then click the Open button.
· Now save the file as a PowerExcel 2007 presentation. To do this, click the Office button, then click Save As. At the bottom, make sure "Save as Type" says "PowerPoint Presentation (.pptx)". Click the Save button.
