Goals:
Provide a forum for interaction between students
and interested faculty.
Provide an opportunity for grad students to practice speaking about research topics and get feedback.
Provide an opportunity for new graduate students to see what our department has to offer and get an idea of what is involved in PhD level and post-doctoral research.
Format:
open to anyone interested in participating.
Primary speakers would be the grad students. Talks may be formal or
informal, hopefully promoting discussion, on interesting papers
we are reading, status of current research, etc.
Faculty would also be encouraged
to talk about their
current research or other topics of interest.
