Manuel V. Hermenegildo
Brief Biography
Professor Hermenegildo received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986. From 1986 to 1989 he worked as a project leader at Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation (MCC), Austin, and an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin.
In 1990 he moved to Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM), Spain, where, since 1994 he has been a full Professor of Computer Science.
He has published more than 70 papers in various conferences and journals,
has served in (and chaired) many conference program committees, and serves
on the editorial boards of several journals. Since moving to Madrid he
has actively participated in several European Commission sponsored ESPRIT
projects, involving several European Universities and European Industrial
companies. He has also served as a consultant to the European Commission's
ESPRIT program.
