Dale received his B.S. in Mathematics, University of Maryland in 1958 and then began work at WSMR in the Data Reduction Division.In 1961, he began graduate school at NMSU, earning an M.S. in Mathematics there in 1962. Dick returned to WSMR in 1962 and was put in charge of the Re-entry Physics Branch. In 1965 he was transferred to the Operations Branch where he performed primarily management functions.
From 1982 to 1985 he was involved in setting-up the computing facilities at the White Sands High-Energy Laser Systems Test Facility. Since 1985 Dick has been primarily involved with management statistics. He has been serving as a consultant on the use of PC's and the applications software available for them. He also consults on the use of the Work- place Information System at WSMR.
He retired from WSMR 1999 December 31 and has been teaching part time ever since.
