December saw the passing of two of the department's founding members. The sudden death of J Mack Adams while cycling was tragically unexpected. He was 73. His obituary is here. Richard (Dick) Stark passed away after a brief illness. He was 90 years old. Below is a photograph of the founders at a reunion in 2003.
